THE EARTH MOTHER
The second aspect of the Triple Moon Goddess this is the time of summer and fruition. The picture contains full blown roses, fruit, the baby. In the background there is a map of the world, of which she is the incarnation. The veils that hang from the top of the picture link it with The May Queen and the shape of the Maypole, but now like a flower it has moved from the tightly furled shape of a bud to the open aspect of a flower.
To link her with the modern world the model has hair-wraps and a pierced nose, associating her with the alternative sub-cultures which are often involved with ecological concerns.
