Caroline Blackburn : "These are no ordinary snapshots, freezing a mere passing moment in time, but elaborate supernatural tableaux that take months to create." - Jane Warren (The Express)

THE GREEN MAN

One of the more enduring and oldest figures of British Mythology, he often turns up as pub names, and there is a depiction of him in the wood carvings in Lincoln Cathedral.
He is the spirit and embodiment of the forest, often being depicted as actually made of wood himself, or with foliage growing from his mouth and nose. Like so many of these figures has no specific denotation of good or bad, being dangerous to some and helpful to others, and has been seen as a fertility figure.
