Orchids

The unbelievable perfection of flowers continues to fascinate Caroline, although she doesn't want to photograph all of them. Orchids as a flower hold a particular fasination, since they seem sometimes to imitate other things like insects. In some ways they seem more like flesh than vegetable matter. They have an erotic association which is quite obvious with some but utterly lacking in others. This small collection captures some of the vibrancy and variation of the flowers, as well as capturing their sensuality and beauty.
