Still Life

This and the monochrome section is where I started really. I wanted to take on the old painterly approach to still life and show that photography could add something unique to the genre. Using techniques such as colouring part of the picture while leaving the background black and white gives the pictures a different feeling to anything else. The sort of hyper-reality that was created here was obviously developed much further when I started the mythology pictures.
